Nexstar Station Highlights Ugly Baby

Nexstar’s KARK billed the story as “Only on KARK”…

The story was about a mom that said that her baby is ugly and posted her ugly baby pictures on social media to try and get some attention.

Now, many would think that a mom who is poking fun at the looks of her newborn baby is cruel and mean and let’s be honest it is.

But, KARK thought it was a news story and highlighted the new mom.

I feel for the poor kid that has no say in the matter and now starts out life as being mocked for her looks. KARK decided to get in on the bulling of the baby.

One KARK viewer sent an email to FTVLive and let’s just say she was not impressed with the “journalism” the station is doing.

This disgusts me on so many levels. Is this today's journalism?

One would never do this if this child had Down syndrome or a cleft palate, but yet this is somehow socially acceptable?

What news station manager thought giving this attention-starved mother MORE attention was actually a good idea?

In a world where we're supposed to empower women, not judge people by their looks, etc. this news station took 1,000 steps backwards by poking fun at the looks of an innocent baby. And for what? Website clicks?

It's abhorrent.

I have to say, I agree with the viewer.
