Motown Station Falls For Car Joke

Fox O&O WJBK (Detroit) covered a story of a group on people that gathered outside General Motors’ Detroit headquarters and demanded the company start making the Saturn vehicle again.

The Saturn hasn’t been around since 2010. The car which was made out of a lot of plastic lasted just over 2 decades before GM pulled the plug on the Saturn.

The rally was basically a joke, with people holding up signs that read “Plastic is Fantastic” and “We need Cheap Shitboxes.”

While GM did not respond to the joke rally, WJBK covered it like it was a real story.

Sometimes, I sit back and I really worry about the future of local Journalism.
