Hello,

I don't work in the industry, but I've followed your site for several years, and it is great. Thank you for all the work you put into it.

I live in Saint Louis and watch KSDK (Tegna) in the mornings. For the last 6 to 12 months I've noticed they have been so happy and giggley, so much so that it comes across weird and almost manic. I know morning news is generally lighter and they lean heavily on banter and being a "family," but KSDK has taken it to the extreme. I would stop watching, but I like the meteorologist. However, this last Monday I had to turn to a different channel because the anchors and reporters were annoying the hell out of me.

Has there been some directive from Tegna requiring their morning shows take this approach? I'm generally pretty even-tempered, but maybe I'm becoming a crotchety old man.

I'm sure you get a lot of emails, and this one is long. If you read it, thank you. If you respond to it, double thank you.

FTVLive Response: This is Tegna….

Scott,

Thank you for holding media companies accountable for their practices when it comes to diversity. As a Black Journalist I see, almost on a daily basis, things done by management that makes you wonder if they are incompetent.

Please, don’t stop fighting the fight!

Hello!

I am writing as part of the #SaveMacGyver campaign working hard to bring back MacGyver (2016) after its cancellation by CBS.

Many fans, including me, are not ready to give up on the show after CBS's sudden cancellation. This show is one of the few that not only provide positive representation in diversity and STEM but also hope to millions of people around the world every Friday. Additionally, MacGyver has some of the best representation out of CBS's entire line up. Cast members include Lucas Till, Tristin Mays, Levy Tran, Meredith Eaton, Henry Ian Cusick, Justin Hires and Alexandra Grey.

Under the helm of Monica Macer for these last 8 episodes, MacGyver has brought in a trans and nonbinary representation, making it truly one of its kind. Its ratings have also been strong (0.5 demo on average with 4.5+ M views) for 5 seasons straight. Not to mention it had won the Friday 8pm time slot every week for 13 weeks in a row.

The campaign of fans worldwide has done the following to save the show:

• Sent CBS's LA office 350K+ paperclips (and are planning a larger round).

• Our petition has garnered 21K+ signatures since the cancellation announcement.https://www.change.org/p/cbs-savemacgyver

• News coverage from Forbes, CNN, ET Canada, and Screen Rant among others.

• 300K tweets in the #savemacgyver tag since it was started 3 weeks ago.

• Raising funds for Cancer Research Institute to give back to the community:https://www.gofundme.com/f/operation-cure-cancer-from-fans-of-macgyver?utm_campaign=p_cp_url&utm_medium=os&utm_source=customer

• Created a website: https://www.savemacgyver.com/

• Four digital billboards in the following locations Los Angeles (2), Times Square New York (1) and Atlanta (1)

You may also check #SaveMacGyver to see the real size of the fanbase on various social media platforms.

After 4 seasons of a toxic work environment the star of the show spoke out. CBS has cut ties with the former showrunner and brought in Monica Macer but she was only given 8 episodes. During that time, Monica began to explore the black experience, being Asian, transgender, and non-binary and working together in positive, healthy manner (or learning to).

All indications until the abrupt cancellation strongly indicated there would be renewal for MacGyver and since the cancellation concerns have mounted that cancellation of the show was related to the harassment the cast and crew suffered and forced to be put to an end.

If you could cover our efforts to save the show it would mean the world to us fans! Keeping positive role models for people of all ages and identities benefit our future.

Thank you.

FTVLive Response: This is a bit out of our area. But I wish you all the best of luck.

Finally, a message to all the mothers out there from FTVLive.

I hope you have a great Mother’s Day!

You are all simply the BEST!
