Throwing Some Shades

It appears that along with working at Nexstar’s WFLA, Sports Anchor/Reporter Karen Loftus is also hawking some sunglasses.

Loftus posted herself wearing her new shades and then gave viewers the promo code “KCLoftus” to save 20% on a pair if they buy them.

Does she work in the station’s sales department?

Did WFLA owner Nexstar turn one of the news people into a salesperson, or is Loftus doing this all on her own?

If so, is the station really okay with this?
