Speaking of Nexstar’s News Nation, a viewer sent along this email to FTVLive:

Please keep me anonymous, but I just wanted to reach out and say I’ve followed your website for a long time and I think all your criticisms/suggestions are warranted. I used to be a MMJ before I left the business.

I’m currently back in school and don’t have time to actively watch TV news anymore, but I just scrolled through The Donlon Report + Banfield’s Twitter feeds. Basically nothing about the violence and tragedy in Georgia. It’s absolutely disappointing, considering they have HOURS of coverage they could provide and there are SO many experts they could continue to interview. Instead, they’re talking about spring break trips and singing?

But it’s also not surprising, I guess. I’m just tired and frustrated at the state of broadcast news.

The former TV newsie turned viewer is right. I looked at the Twitter feed of Joe Donlon and Ashleigh Banfield and I could not find any mention as to the mass murders in Georgia.

The two biggest faces on Nexstar’s cable news outlet and they don’t even mention the murders?

I’m sorry Nexstar, but you can do better.
