Sinclair to Hub News in Texas

Sources are telling FTVLive that viewers of Sinclair’s KFDM in Beaumont, TX might soon be seeing the newscasts hosted and produced from San Antonio.

Word is that Sinclair is looking to cut more staff at KDFM and might be selling the KDFM studio to the state of Texas for a proposed highway project.

Sources say Sinclair will move the station to a much smaller space and will be used as a satellite newsroom while the KFDM newscast will be produced out of WOAI in San Antonio.

Staffers at KFDM are trying to get out before another round of Sinclair cuts.

Sinclair is already hubbing smaller market newscasts around the country.
