If you work at a Nexstar station and your contract is coming up, it is likely you will be offered a raise of 1 or 1 1/2%.

You might want to know that Nexstar reported their earnings for the 4th quarter and the company set a record.

Revenue was up over 25% and political revenue was up a whopping up 717% from a year ago.

Nexstar CEO Perry Sook told investors that 2021 is also off to a great start and they are ahead of budget so far for the year. “We are already up mid-single-digits ahead of our budget numbers for January and February,” Sook said.

So, as you are offered that new contract, print out this quote from Uncle Perry about how the company did in their revenue and had it to your boss.

“Nexstar’s fourth quarter financial results conclude an outstanding year, as we set new records across every key financial performance metric, all of which exceeded consensus expectations.”

Then politely tell your News Director to take that 1% offered raise and shove it where the sun doesn’t shine.

If the company is bringing in record profits, don’t you deserve a bit of that for all your hard work?

Just saying…..
