Snowmageddon
/News departments across the country are focused on the weather as the big story.
A historic snowstorm that stretches deep into Texas has left millions without power and many TV stations using backup generators to keep them on the air.
A number of beaches in Texas have snow on top of the sand and there are too many car accidents to count.
The biggest problem is the cold. The temps are down below zero in many areas and when you don’t have any power, it can make for some tough times.
A number of hotels that have been hurting due to the pandemic are seeing beds fill up as people leave their homes that don’t have power.
It still amazes me how many people cannot drive in a few inches of snow. As a boy growing up in Buffalo, we didn’t even consider it a lot of snow until we started measuring it in feet.
Driving in 4 or 5 inches of snow was nothing and you barely even gave it a second thought.
Here in Florida the weather at the FTVLive Embassy sits near 70 degrees, but it has rained so many days in a row that I’m thinking of building an ark.
I think I would rather have snow than all this rain.
Just saying….
