San Francisco Station's Security Guard is Shot

Nexstar’s KRON was doing a story on the smash and grab robberies when a shooting happened and it involved a station employee.

KRON reports that a security guard that they hired was shot while escorting a new crew on a story. Police say the incident was an attempted armed robbery to steal camera equipment.

The station reports that the security guard was shot in the lower abdomen and taken to Highland Hospital for surgery, according to police.

the guard is out of surgery and in stable condition, according to the station.
