Might Want to Wait a Bit For the Details

You would think that a Journalist would want to wait to gather the facts before reporting the story.

That does not seem to be the case with WHDH (Boston) Reporter Steve Cooper. Here are a couple of examples of that from yesterday.

Cooper posted a tweet saying that a person was hit and killed by a driver and that the driver remained at the scene.

But a follow up post some 3 hours later says that police are looking for the driver that left the hit and run:

Then he reported on a police involved shooting in which he said that no officers were injured in the shooting.

Then 2 hours later, Cooper posts that a number of officers were transported to the hospital for stress.

Maybe you should wait for the facts before posting the news. It is always better to be right, than to be first.
