The Newsroom is Empty

It appears that the WWBT (Richmond) newsroom is empty.

Sources say that the Gray station has almost the entire news department working from home as the COVID virus continues to spread.

A number of viewers have taken to social media, wondering why there is no one on the news set and all the anchors are coming to them from their homes.

Sources tell FTVLive that a number of staffers at the station have tested positive for COVID.

Anchor Simone Cuccurullo answered one viewer’s question, posting that it was management’s decision to keep the staff home.
