The Boston Bottom Feeders

When it comes to TV newsrooms in Boston in it appears that NBC Boston and Cox owned Boston 25 are seeing who can take up residency in the ratings basement.

Looking at the Nielsen numbers on a recent day shows that Hearst’s WCVB is way out in front with their newscast.

Independent WHDH is running in second place, just ahead of WBZ.

But, going down to the bottom of the barrel, you see Boston 25 sitting just under NBC Boston. You have to wonder if those stations just put of color bars, if the ratings would not be nearly the same.
