DM form South Florida Reporter:
For an “anchor” like Kari Lake (or whatever the hell she is) to be so ignorant about the Constitution is unacceptable. Maybe this is language she will understand: Twitter is the Christian bakery and Trump is the gay wedding cake. Yes I stole that from a meme but it is absolutely spot-on.... and how that pathetic excuse for a “journalist” has kept her job for more than five minutes is beyond me.
Email from a Trump supporter that was reacting to this story on FTVLive:
No, its not all be because of Trump. The media has been unfair to conservatives for 50 years! And of course you wanted to see him banned on twitter. How nice of you to use your free speech platform to say someone else shouldn't have a free speech platform. You media hypocrite.
Response: Trump has more tools than anyone in the world to make his voice heard. Check out this story from Saturday’s FTVLive.
Email from a TV newsie talking about Meredith’s selling off stations.
Hey Scott, I don't disagree with you on Gray wanting WGCL & WPCH. It would bring favor by the FCC since Gray is based in Atlanta and it is odd that they don't own a station in its home market. Of course, with WGCL long being the last-place station and Gray preferring first-place stations, why would Gray want them? My only guess would be because when do major network affiliates in Atlanta go up for sale?
That being said, why would Meredith sell the stations individually instead of as a group? Cox/Apollo would be ideal since it would still be well under the cap, are looking to make more acquisitions, and only one market do they overlap which would be--yep, you guessed it--Atlanta. If Meredith were to sell in whole to Cox, no way they would jettison WSB-TV for WGCL. Then Gray could step in for WGCL/WPCH.
I gave up trying to figure out Meredith years ago.
