Meredith Station Loses the House

If you read the Hartford Courant this morning, you will see longtime Anchor Dennis House has left the station.

The paper writes that, “The anchor and WFSB jointly announced the departure in a statement on his website Tuesday night.”

But, insiders tell FTVLive that this split was not as smoothly has both parties would leave you to believe.

Just a couple of days ago, House posted on his Facebook page that it was his 28th year work anniversary:

Doesn’t exactly read like a guy that is planning on leaving the station.

Sources tell FTVLive, “(House) came in to work to do his evening shift, was called to HR, and told he had to go. After going to his desk to collect a few things, the HR representative said, "you need to leave now".”

“No goodbye to viewers, no notice... just leave,” the insider said.

House the posted this tweet the next day with a picture of himself and his wife, WFSB Anchor Kara Sundlun.

Your Anchor of almost 30 years leaves the station on a Monday, no notice to viewers and no on-air goodbye and both sides act if all is good?

Also, why would you main news anchor leave two months from the biggest election in our lifetime?

Is Dennis House crossing the street to another station?

Did something happen at the station that management decided he had to go?

The speculation and rumors will run wild and that is mainly due to the fact that neither side decided to step up and be transparent.

Just saying….
