Mr. Jones.,

I enjoyed your podcast "Jonesing for the News" today. I like your shoot from the hip approach. With your knowledge and experience it's kind of refreshing to hear your perspective. It was refreshing and funny to hear you just speak the truth like you have always done.  I am a frequent visitor of FTVLive and enjoy reading up on the media industry. I currently DO NOT work in the TV news/media industry.  I have fascination with the media as, I was a Political Science major at Hampton University.  My first job out of college was working in the media on the Gannett (now Tegna) websites in the late 90's to the mid 2000's.

Please keep up the good work and keep the industry informed you are doing an amazing job.

Thank you from a proud reader.

Hi Scott,

I have a potentially interesting idea for the podcast. What about talking about job hunting in TV news during the pandemic, especially when looking outside your current market?

There are a lot of obstacles right now. Some station groups may have a hiring freeze. Even if they don't, is anyone flying people in right now? Even if you do get flown in, you probably won't meet many of your co-workers with many working remote. Even you do get a job, in a lot of ways people will be taking it sight unseen with the complications caused by the pandemic.

I think it would be interesting to hear a discussion about job hunting in TV right now.

Loved the podcast and I am looking forward to more. As an anchor here in New York, I am one of the few that is still taking the train into the city. I listened to the podcast on the way in and I was fully entertained. Keep them coming.
