Meredith GM is Gone

Sources tell FTVLive that Meredith WNEM (Flint) has parted ways with General Manager Julie Zoumbaris.

Zoumbaris had been at the station for just over 2 1/2 years, coming from a sales gig at WRTV in Indianapolis.

Word is that Steve Hamel is being tapped to keep the seat warm while the station searches for a new GM.

Let’s hope that Meredith does the right thing and fills the job with a person of color. The company has said that they plan on taking better steps to increase diversity at their stations and this is a perfect time to make good on that promise.
