Hackers Take Station Off the Air

It appears that the newscast on KYMA (Yuma) did not air after the station was hit with a ransomware attack.

Hackers take control of files and then encrypt them so the station can’t access the files. They demand a payment for the station to get access back to the files.

It appears that some News Press Gazette stations were also attacked.

FTVLive obtained a copy of an email from the hackers to NPG, demanding payment to get access back to their files.
