Looks Like Take 5 is Deep Sixed

Back in April of last year, Tegna’s KING in Seattle launched a new newscast which they called Take 5.

According to the station, the mission of the new show was not just have the viewer informed, but inspired, entertained and energized.

They said it was, “a casual conversation about the news.”

In other words it was a Tegnafied newscast in which they kind of give up doing news and do a lot of what you saw on social media and other goofy shit.

Well, it now appears that Take 5 is being deep sixed and replaced with…..get this….a real newscast.

KING Anchor Jessica Castro posted that starting on Monday she will be anchoring the new “KING 5 News at 4PM.” No more Take 5 and according to Castro it will be a “smart approach to your PNW news.”

In other words, the goofy shit didn’t work and they are going back to straight news.

One Tegna station down, 60 more to go.
