When disgraced Illinois Rod Blagojevich got his get out of jail free card from Donald Trump it was a big story back in Chicago.

Blagojevich was serving his time in Colorado, and after getting out of prison he headed to the airport to fly back to the Windy City.

All the Chicago stations made their way to Denver to meet the Ex-Gov and get his reaction.

But, one station showed why they are the news leader in Chicago.

When Blagojevich took his seat on the plane, he found himself right next to longtime WLS Reporter Chuck Goudie.

In other words, Goudie had Blagojevich all to himself for the entire flight.

It shows why WLS Is the blowtorch when it comes to news ratings and why Goudie is damn good at his job. Goudie and WLS think ahead and plan for the story instead of just reacting.
