Is She Real?

It is clear that WFOR (Miami) Anchor Katie Johnston is new in town.

If you watched her on the news, you saw her mispronounce the names of places in South Florida that almost everyone knows and knows the correct pronunciation.

So, you head to the WFOR website and you see Johnston’s bio which says that she is proud to call Ft. Worth, Texas home.

Huh?

So we head over to the CBS station in Dallas see this bio for Katie Johnston:

Here she is reporting the news for the CBS station in Sacramento:

And here she is doing the news at the CBS station in Baltimore

It is clear now that Katie Johnston works for the CBS O&O’s and that CBS tries to pull a fast one on viewers that she is your own local Anchor/Reporter which she clearly is not.

In fact, we now have to wonder if Katie Johnston is a real person, or one of those news robots we keep hearing about?

Just another way to to news on the cheap.

I’m sorry, but if I’m going to watch local news, I want the news delivered by people that actually live and work in the area. And by people that can say the name of local towns and cities correctly.

Just saying…
