On the story we posted about NBC’s Lester Holt adding commentaries to Nightly News:

So the reason they're doing this is to make Lester appear more empathic in comparison to Norah O'Donnell. I was going to email you this trend but you beat me with this related post lol. But If you watch O'Donnell's newscast for one whole week that she's in anchoring it's not hard to see that despite CBS's little flukes, it's the best nightly newscast, hands down.

It's not only the producing and content but she herself brings a certain kind of empathy that David and Lester don't have with the current covid news cycles.

So once a viewer watches her and likes her there's no going back because there's an emotional connection. Producing wise they get all the bad news out of the way first and then wind down with empathy vs abc/nbc's jump cuts.

It looks like NBC realized the trend and the only way they think they can counter her empathy is with a commentary that appears as advocacy.

I personally never was a CBS News guy, but I'm telling you if the network put money into advertising her more they would see a huge ROI -especially build her up around covid.

Here is someone that didn’t like the language we used in yesterday’s FTVLive:

Coarse language, the excrement references, is a sign of poor vocabulary.

This is a take on a story we posted yesterday about Senator Marco Rubio jumping the line to get the COVID Vaccine.

I see Rubio featured getting the vaccine, however, all lawmakers are getting it first. Pelosi, McConnell, AOC and the rest....

Yes, it is complete B.S. that these politicians are jumping to the front on the line, past doctors and nurses on the frontline of fighting the pandemic. What makes Rubio worse, is this is a guy that showed up at rallies with no mask and downplayed the virus as it was nothing. Now, the vaccine comes out and he cuts in line to get a shot.

Also, to show you just what a putz this guy is, he showed up wearing USF T-shirt. You see USF is the University of South Florida and it is in Rubio’s district. But, the gear that Rubio was wearing was from the University of Sioux Falls. It had the Cougars as the team and the USF here in Florida is the Bulls.

He can’t even pander to the right people. Such a tool.
