Good News From The Land

We are more than happy to share some good news as it has really seem to be hard to come by lately.

WEWS Reporter Olivia Fecteau has been missing from the station as she has been in a fight with cancer.

The station reports that after weeks of chemotherapy and nearly a month in the hospital, doctors recently told Fecteau that she is in remission.

There is still a long road ahead, but the news is good.

At first Fecteau thought she had COVID, but it turned out to be cancer. They found a mass in her chest measuring bigger than a baseball.

“We went to the hospital the day I got diagnosed with cancer, and I was there for three weeks,” Fecteau said.

She has T-cell acute lymphoblastic lymphoma slash leukemia. It’s rare form, but thankfully, she seems to be kicking cancer’s ass so far and we wish her nothing but the best.
