FTVLive has been telling you how Spectrum News has been cutting staff across the state of New York.

The company has whacked staff in Albany, Syracuse, Rochester, and Buffalo.

The cuts in Buffalo, include the station’s News Director.

ND Kelly Holland and Assistant News Director Steve Marth were told that their services were no longer needed. Spectrum has cut news management at their other NY outlets as well.

Also getting the blade in Buffalo are midday news anchor John Borsa, evening news anchor Casey Bortnick, weekend sports anchor Greg Vorse and weekend news anchor Jeannie McBride.

The Buffalo News writes that Spectrum is the least transparent media company in Western New York and rarely gives details to outside reporters about company decisions other than in generic comments in releases.

If they want to find no transparency, they should try working with the Fox O&O’s.

Just saying…
