Back in March, FTVLive FIRST told you that KUTV (Salt Lake City) Shauna Lake was arrested for the second time for driving drunk.

The Sinclair station kept her on after her first arrest back in 2017, but let her go after she was busted again this year.

Today, Lake is expected to report to the Salt Lake County Jail to serve a 10 day sentence for driving under the influence.

Lake had admitted to the DUI charge in municipal court in July but later appealed her sentence to the district court after a judge ordered her to serve five days in jail and five days of home confinement.

Instead of continuing with her appeal, Lake agreed Monday to serve the 10 days in jail, in accordance with Utah sentencing guidelines for a repeat offense.

Lake lawyer said that his client was waiting for her significant other to arrive at the Salt Lake City International Airport on March 14 and drank while she waited and drove with a blood alcohol content over the legal limit.

Lake’s blood-alcohol level was 0.21% when she was cited at the airport, according to court records. That’s more than four times the legal limit of .05% in Utah.

Lake told the court, “I’m so sorry that I did this. I did seek treatment,” she said. “It’s been a really challenging eight months — I was eight months sober on Friday — and I’m just anxious to serve my time and pay my penalty and move forward with my life. Thank you.”
