EXCLUSIVE! The Boss is Leaving KOMO

There has been no official announcement yet, but FTVLive has learned that longtime KOMO (Seattle) General Manager Janene Drafs is leaving the Sinclair station by month’s end.

This is a big deal.

Drafs joined KOMO in 1986 as a sales and marketing assistant. She worked her way up through the ranks all the way to the corner office.

There are not many women in GM roles in top markets and there certainly not many in the Sinclair ranks.

Drafs defied the odds and is now moving on.

Word is that this is not a retirement and that Drafs is moving to a new gig.
