Back in May, WJZ (Baltimore) parted ways with main Mary Bubala after she asked what many thought was a racist question of a guest.

At the time, Baltimore Mayor Catherine Pugh resigned from office and is currently under state and federal investigative scrutiny.

Bubala was talking about the Baltimore Mayor job when she asked this question of political analysis Kaye Whitehead. “The question I have for you,” Bubala said: “We’ve had three female African-American mayors in a row—they were all passionate public servants, two resigned, though. Is it a signal that a different kind of leadership is needed to move Baltimore City forward?”

Bubala apologized for her remarks, but it still cost her, her job.

Now Bubala has resurfaced across the street at Sinclair’s WBFF.

“As you know she is a tremendous talent with more than 20 years of experience reporting on issues that matter to the Baltimore community,” Bill Fanshawe, the station’s general manager said in an email to the Sun. “She has an impressive body of work, and we are excited to have her as part of our incredible news team.”

Didn’t you just know it would be a Sinclair station?
