Change in the Weather
/Craig Allen has been the weekend Meteorologist at WPIX in New York for the past 8 years.
But, in an email that went out to the staff and obtained by FTVLive, it appears that Allen is getting replaced:
Along with his part-time job at WPIX, Allen has been doing the weather on WCBS radio for the past 4 decades.
Allen will still be filling in at WPIX from time to time, but he loses his regular gig. Some at the station wonder if this is being driven by Scripps, who will become the new owner of WPIX soon (like maybe by the end of the week)?
Allen is well-liked by viewers and at the station, but Insiders say that the station wanted him to give up his WCBS gig, if he wanted to stay on at WPIX.
So, do you choose a job you have had for 40 years with a company? Or do you go join a new company that you know almost nothing about?
Looks like Allen made the right choice if that is indeed what happened?
Also, it’s great that WPIX is “thrilled to have someone with Stacy-Ann’s unique skills.”
