Yesterday, FTVLive told you that KOLD Reporter Janice Yu had been hired at WAGA in Atlanta.

We pointed out that the Atlanta market was seriously underrepresented when it came to Asian talent on the air.

We gave props to hiring Yu and finally getting an Asian American on the air in Atlanta.

It was pointed out that Cox’s WSB has Weekend Morning Anchor Sophia Choi at their station. You will be the second AA in the market.

We’re sorry that we overlooked Choi, but we are not sorry for telling the Atlanta stations that they need to look for more diversity when making hires.

We still give props to WAGA and now also to WSB.

As for WXIA and WGCL….time to step up gang.
