Back on July 15, 2019, Dan Romito started working at Sinclair’s WJLA (DC) as the Morning Executive Producer for the station’s Good Morning Washington show.

He came to the station from WXIX in Cincinnati where he spent over a dozen years.

He barely made it a month before insiders say that they were told that Romito no longer works at the station.

The turnover at WJLA, especially in the Producer ranks is nearly off the charts.

Many inside WJLA point to General Manager Dan Mellon.

One station insider says that Mellon’s management style is “Verbal abuse, anger management, intimidation” are the cornerstone of his style.

But finally for the staff, Mellon is getting kicked upstairs very shortly.

Hopefully, WJLA can get back on track after Mellon leaves and find some Executive Producers that can last longer than a month.
