I guess it has reached the point when mass shootings are no longer stories for networks like CNN to cover.

The latest shooting went down at the Gilroy Garlic Festival in Gilroy, California a city about 30 miles south of San Jose.

So far, 3 people are dead and many more were injured.

If you turned to cable news as word of the shooting came down, you found coverage on both Fox News and MSNBC.

But, tuning into CNN, you saw the network was doing a special on films from the 70’s.

It’s hard to believe, but there was a day and time that when big breaking news happened, you instinctively turned on CNN.

Those days are gone and yet….somehow Jeff Zucker still has a job.
