Nexstar Sends News Director Packing

The last tweet that Ryan Minnaugh sent as the News Director at Nexstar’s WFLA (Tampa) was about the company’s founders day #NexstarCares.

Well it seems that Nexstar doesn’t care for Minnaugh, because the day after that tweet he was pushed out of his job.

FTVLive was the FIRST to tell you that “effective immediately” Minnaugh is gone from the station.

The newsroom got a very brief memo from GM Skip Valet and it was obtained by FTVLive:

Team,

I have accepted Ryan Minnaugh’s resignation effective immediately. I appreciate Ryan’s contributions to WFLA-WTTA.

I am beginning the search for our next News Director immediately.
