Double Duty in O-Town

WFTV Anchor Nancy Alvarez is going back to school…..sort of.
Along with her anchor duties at the Cox station, she will also host a show called “NewsNight,” on WUCF, the local college TV station in town.
NewsNight will be a show about local journalism and community issues.
The roundtable discussion will debut at 8:30 p.m. Friday, April 5, and air in that time slot weekly on Orlando’s PBS station.
“This show comes at a time when the value of journalism is being questioned,” Phil Hoffman, WUCF executive director, said in a statement. “At WUCF, we believe there is always an urgent need for honest storytelling and open discussion.”
He then adds, “We will focus on what the daily flow of news means in the broader context to the people who live in Central Florida, with professional journalists at the helm.”
What the hell does that even mean?
