New GM Named in Tucson

Scripps has named a new top gun at KGUN (see what I did there?)

The company has named Kara McNeely the General Manager of the Tucson station.

She comes to the desert from her gig as VP of brand strategy, audience development and programming at KABC in Los Angeles.

“My career began at Scripps, and returning is such an honor,” said McNeely. “I’m excited and grateful for the opportunity to blaze new trails at KGUN and KWBA. I can't wait to jump in and work with our team to inform, engage, empower and serve our local communities and beyond.”

Props to Scripps for giving a woman the top job.
