Shots Fired!
/WNBC Reporter Adam Kuperstein was going live at the scene in Jersey City when a number of gunshots could be heard.
Now it’s easy to play Monday morning quarterback, but it was here that Kuperstein should have stopped talking and let the scene tell the story.
Also, as the shots start to intensify, Kuperstein says, “we’re going to back up” while a number of people shooting video in their phones step forward.
Look, it is a very tense situation and Kuperstein did a good job. But, when shots like that start-up, it is a good time to shut up. Also, don’t say you’re going to “back up”, just back up.
Then again, when it comes to gunfire, I’m not sure moving back 10 feet is really a big help.
