DC Anchor Leaving Sinclair Station For Network

Sources at Sinclair’s WJLA tell FTVLive that evening Anchor Nancy Chen is leaving the station for a network job in New York City.

Hi all,

A quick note to let you know that Nancy Chen will be leaving WJLA to take a Network position in New York. Nancy joined our newsroom a little over 2 ½ years ago. She has anchored in the evenings and done a great job producing her franchise Hero 24/7. Most recently, Nancy has been helping out on Good Morning Washington.

I’m sure Nancy will be happy to tell you all about her move in the coming days but we still have a month until she leaves. Please join me in wishing her well on her move to the Big Apple!

Chen joined WJLA from WHDH in Boston in April 2017.

The memo did not say what network or which job? FTVLive reached out to Chen’s agent Rick Ramage and he said, “We can't say where she's going yet as we're still working through that new contract.”
