Warning!!!!! Alert!!!!!

Nothing like scaring the crap out of viewers for no reason at all. 

Cox owned KOKI (Tulsa) sent out an ALERT to viewers on their phones, warning them: 

Yes, despite the fact that Tulsa is not near any ocean or gulf, they sent out this warning. Weatherman Brad Carl followed up with a post to social media.

But, in the comments, Carl admitted that the storm is really too far away to say what will happen. In other words, they scared viewers on their holiday weekend for no reason other than to drive viewers to the station.

And yet, some people wonder why viewers do not trust local news? 

This station should apologize to viewers and promise not to pull this kind of crap in the future.
