After almost a decade giving the sports news in Indianapolis, WTHR Sports Anchor Jason Spells has announced that he is leaving for the Lone Star State.

In a farewell video shared on Facebook and Twitter, Spells told viewers that Sunday night was his last and that he moving to Dallas, Texas at the end of the week.

Spells did not mention what company he would be working for next.

Spells began his time in Indianapolis when he joined the RTV6 sports team in May 2009. He moved to WTHR in March 2014.
