Fake News?

Did this Columbia, SC feature a fake news story for sweeps? 

Some think they might have done just that. 

WLTX did a story about a woman that claimed to have had a foot transplant, but not everyone is buying it. 

After the Tegna station aired the story, sources tell FTVLive that a number of viewers called the station and questioned in the story was even real?

The lady that said she had a foot transplant showed her foot. The scar does seem awfully small for a transplant. Also, why didn't the station get confirmation from the doctor or surgeon that did the reported transplant?
