Here's a Shocker
/When NBC sacked Matt Lauer for inappropriate conduct, the network promised a full investigation on the matter and would be completely transparent.
It was more like a sham.
NBC has finally finished their "investigation" and surprise they exonerated NBC News management of any wrongdoing regarding Lauer’s workplace conduct.
Really?
Despite the fact for years that rumors about Lauer's conduct floated from coast to coast and despite the fact that Ann Curry herself says she warned management, the investigation showed that no one in a management role knew anything?
Sorry....but we have to call bullshit on this.
First, NBC News boss Andy Lack had the investigation carried out by NBC's legal team. In other words the network's general counsel, who reports to Lack, handled the case.
This screamed of the need of hiring an independent outside firm to handle the investigation and NBC kept it all in house.
And not one, NOT ONE, manager knew anything?
The investigation did find that Lauer's accusers were credible and that justifies NBC's sudden firing of their star Anchor.
Sorry, but we have to say that this was another misstep by Andy Lack and that seems to becoming a lot more common.
This investigation stinks of a network protecting it's management and was a sham.
Just calling it like I see it.
