Where in the World is Lester Holt?

It appears that Lester Holt is taking over for Matt Lauer at NBC.

No, Holt will not be sleeping with the interns, but he will be hitting the the road. NBC used to send Lauer all over the world during ratings as a gimmick to get viewers to watch.

Now it appears that the Peacock is going to do the same thing with Holt.

Starting next week, The NBC Anchor will be hitting the road heading out across America for a week.

The road trip begins in Portland on Monday, May 7, where Holt will report and host a broadcast of "NBC Nightly News."

The "NBC Nightly News" cross-country trip will also include broadcasts from Denver, Colorado; Chicago, Illinois; Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania; and Raleigh, North Carolina.

As the NBC announcement says, the trip will allow Holt to cut through "the chaotic news cycle to report on stories impacting Americans' hometowns, such as job creation, reducing crime and opiod addiction. Holt will bring attention to local issues with national implications, and tell the stories of Americans who are transforming their communities and inspiring others."

Holt recalled that on a previous trip to Portland, he noted the high number of bicycle commuters in Portland and indicated he might get on a bike while he's in the city.

Well, if Lester on a bike doesn't bring in the ratings, I don't know what will?
