Back in February, WZTV Sports Anchor Paul Jones said that he turned down a new 3 year contract and offered a raise at the Sinclair station. 

Jones said he had no "immediate plans."

The keyword here was "immediate" because he did have plans and had a new job lined up in a much better market and a much better station than the Sinclair one he was working at. 

Jones has accepted a position as a sports anchor/reporter at KXAS, the NBC O&O in Dallas.

That is a good move for a guy that spent 16 years at the Nashville station.
