NESN Photographer John Martin got the very sad diagnoses back in October of 2016 that he has ALS. There still is no cure and Martin is way too young to have this happen.
John is loved throughout New England by people in and outside TV news for his positive personality, work ethic, and commitment to others. There’s a handicapped accessible patio at his house where people come and visit him. They call it “Cafe Martin.”
Now, a fundraising page has been set up to raise some money to help John with his medical bills. For $25, you can buy a baseball hat that says "Cafe Martin" and the money goes straight to John.
