Back in February, FTVLive wrote, " The Olympics wrapped up on NBC and the ratings were not good. This follows the Super Bowl, which also saw lower ratings. And you can bet the Oscar ratings on Sunday will also be lower.

Well, the Oscars were Sunday and just as we predicted the ratings were down.

Many want to make the lower ratings for the NFL, the Olympics, and the Oscars political. This has more to do with cord cutting and people just tuning out TV than it has to do with politics.

That won't stop those that want to use the lower ratings for their political message.

But, the fact of the matter is viewers are sick of paying big bucks to the cable companies to watch uninteresting TV that is loaded with commercials.

Like we said, it's a sign of the times.
