A Thank You from His Wife

Back in August, FTVLive told you the sad news that Sinclair's Group News Director Chris Manson had died.

His wife Lindy emailed us yesterday to say this:

Mr Jones,

Some months ago - I truly don’t remember when - a friend forwarded to me the article you wrote about Chris shortly after his death.  I saved the writing not being able, nor wanting to read it at the time.

I’ve read it for the second time this evening . It’s very nice and being so concisely written, it reminded me of his writings! It was very kind of you to think of his family, friends, and co-workers as his death was quite unexpected and left most of us in shock.

Chris worked in the fields of journalism and tv for many years, taught at a university, traveled to stations and universities for a number of years and attended many professional organizations’ meetings. I’m curious if you ever met him at any of these venues?

Thank you for writing such a nice piece. His daughters and I appreciated it greatly.

Lindy

Lindy, we thank you for the email and again, we are so sorry for your loss. I never had the pleasure of meeting Chris, but we did talk on the phone and he was not only professional, he was a very nice guy. We respected Chris and the job he did. It's sad that he his life was cut short, but we hope you hold onto the memories of not how he died, but how he lived.

Thanks again.
