Throwing Shade at Fox News
/4 years ago, FTVLive FIRST broke the story that Fox News Anchor Alisyn Camerota was going to resurface at CNN.
And despite the fact that Camerota has been gone from Fox News for 4 years, she is still not done throwing some shade of her former employer.
Camerota talked to The Daily Beast and said that the biggest differences between Fox—where she had to serve the specific right-wing agenda of the late Roger Ailes—and CNN, where she says network chief Jeff Zucker has finally allowed her to be a “journalist.”
In talking about Fox News, she says the big way that it’s different is that Roger Ailes had a very particular mission statement. Roger wasn’t a journalist. Roger believed in good TV and presenting what he thought was the counterbalance to what he called “liberal media.” So that’s not what journalism is. I’m just so struck every day by, now, all the stellar journalists that I work around. And it’s freeing not to have to conform to a mission statement like that.
But, it sure seems that CNN is on a mission as well, but this time coming from the left and not the right. Camerota disagrees with that idea.
"Oh, god no. It just isn’t the case. Jeff Zucker is never telling me how I have to do a story or what questions I have to ask or what questions I have to not ask. Never," she said.
But, it appears that Camerota and Zucker have the same political beliefs, so of course he doesn't need to tell her what to say or ask. They are both coming from the same side.
Just more proof that if you watch Fox News or CNN you are are getting nothing near objective journalism.
Cable news is a complete waste of time that continues to divide this county more and more.
