What did You Say?
/It a story that seems should have been kept on hold until the May book, KSAT (San Antonio) meteorologist Sarah Spivey got a new hearing aid and she says it has improved her quality of life.
“I’ve been hard-of-hearing since I was a child and was finally able to purchase a hearing aid this past Friday. It’s amazing how much my quality of life has improved in just a few short days,” Spivey wrote on her social media.
“While my hearing loss has been manageable, many deaf and hard-of-hearing people can’t afford hearing aids,” she wrote. “Please consider donating to or getting involved in non-profit organizations like Aid the Silent (www.aidthesilent.com), which helps provide financial assistance to deaf and hard-of-hearing children and teens.”
Spivey started at KSAT a year ago, taking on the role of morning weekend meteorologist. In additon, she works three weekday nights to help produce weather segments and fill in for vacationing or sick KSAT weathercasters.
