Slow News Day?

Look, I get the fact that Lafayette, La is not exactly a hotbed for news. But, even this seems like a bit of a stretch. 

KLFY did a story that former Anchor Chuck Huebner's 85-year-old mom died. 

Now, certainly this is sad news for Chuck, but the Anchor no longer works at the station and it wasn't him, but his mom that died.

And she was 85.

I'm sorry, I'm just not sure that this is news.
