News Reporter Does the Weather for Houston Station

It is fairly common in a small market to see TV news people wearing a bunch of different hats.

The News Director might also be the station's Anchor. Or maybe the Anchor also produces the show.

But, when you get to the big markets, you wear just one hat and that's your job.

Or at least, that's how it used to be.

Down at KRIV, the Fox O&O in Houston, news Reporter Stephen Morgan was spotted doing the weather.

"Left the reporter hat at home because tonight I’m Houston’s meteorologist," Morgan posted on Facebook.

Turns out that Morgan actually has a Bachelor of Science (B.S.) in Meteorology from Saint Louis University and the station used him to fill the weather hole.

It seems that these days, the more hats you can bring to the table, the better off you may be in this shrinking business.

Here's  Morgan doing the forecast and we have to say, he did pretty darn good. But it will be weird if he turns around tomorrow and tells us about a double murder.

Just saying...
