Longtime WHAS (Louisville) Anchor Rachel Platt is leaving the Tegna station and TV news altogether.

In a post on the station’s website, Platt says she is not retiring, just moving onto a new chapter.

My heart couldn’t be any fuller, I leave with no regrets.

WHAS has been so supportive in my decision to make a change, and they move forward in such capable hands.

I am not a retirement kind of gal, remember, it’s all about the next chapter.

Mine will be at the Frazier History Museum as Director of Community Engagement.

It combines all of my favorite things, storytelling, history, learning and of course you, the community.

Please continue to tell me your stories, your ideas – my new chapter is just beginning with the new year, my last day here will be December 21.

The timing just seems right.

One of Frazier’s slogans is “It starts here.”

I hate goodbyes, so here’s to new beginnings with old friends, you – and it starts here.
