All About Me TV - Charlottesville Edition
/While most Journalists are covering the events of Charlottesville very well and with the focus as it should be. Others are seeing it as an attempt to make it all about them.
KXTV (Sacramento) Reporter Chris Thomas figured that with all that was going on in Charlottesville, he could dig up some old file video of how he conducted an interview with a KKK leader in Virginia while he was working in the Richmond market (WWBT). He he made sure to point out how his interview was used in campaign ads during last year's Presidential election.
Then he says, "I share this story with you to offer context about how we got here."
I'm sorry Chris, but it seems like you share this story to make it all about you.
WTVR Reporter Claudia Rupcich was covering Heather Heyer's memorial service. She shared some pictures on social media. Not of the service mind you, but of herself and her photog covering the event.
Obviously, we are not fans of all about you TV, but with what has happened in Charlottesville and what is happening in our country, this might be a time to change your focus from you to the story.
Just saying.....
